First-boot checklist for your new 2EZ PC

Already done on our bench

BIOS updated; XMP/EXPO profile enabled when your kit supports it.

Windows activated (if selected) with chipset, GPU, and network drivers current.

48-hour stress test passed with thermals logged.

No manufacturer bloatware, trial antivirus, or junk toolbars.

When you unbox

Inspect the outer and inner boxes for shipping damage before you power on. Photograph anything that looks wrong.

Remove internal shipping foam or GPU braces if included (we leave a note when they are present).

Connect display cable to the GPU, not the motherboard I/O, unless you intentionally bought an iGPU-only config.

First power-on: confirm fans spin, RGB (if any) initializes, and you reach the desktop without error beeps.

First 24 hours

Run Windows Update once and reboot.

Sign into your games and confirm display refresh rate matches your monitor (Windows often defaults to 60Hz).

If anything feels off (coil whine that worries you, thermal throttling, no POST), contact us before you open the case for unrelated mods. DOA and early failures are covered both ways.
